Dual Enrollment - Honors Program
Students who are accepted as participants in both The Clarkson School and the Clarkson University Honors Program represent an exceptional group of high-achieving scholars.
These “dualies” begin their academic journey immersed in a rigorous early college environment while simultaneously benefiting from the enriched curriculum, research opportunities, and close faculty mentorship offered through the Honors Program.
By balancing the accelerated structure of The Clarkson School with the intellectual depth and community engagement of Honors, "dualies" demonstrate remarkable maturity, curiosity, and drive. Their experience fosters advanced critical thinking skills, leadership development, and meaningful collaboration, positioning them for continued academic excellence and impactful contributions both on campus and beyond.
The process begins when you apply to the Clarkson School. The strongest candidates are invited to apply to the Honors Program. Students who are not selected to apply for the Honors Program during the fall semester of their Clarkson School year can apply for the Fast Track option for the spring semester.

“The Clarkson School challenged me in ways my previous school never did. Through the Honors Program and a summer psychology research lab, I began conducting research as a high school student while serving as an Army ROTC cadet, researcher, EMT, and student leader. Balancing it all while applying to colleges was demanding but rewarding—and I’m now continuing my studies at Brown University on the pre-med track with a full-tuition Army ROTC scholarship. TCS truly set me up for success.”
