This presentation will cover the prevalence of PTSD among EMS professionals, the specific
stressors they encounter, and common symptoms. We’ll also address the stigma around mental health, barriers to seeking help, and the impact of untreated PTSD. Finally, we’ll explore prevention strategies, including resiliencetraining, peer support, and fostering a supportive work environment. Understanding and addressing PTSD is essential for the well-being of EMS responders.
