All students accepted into Clarkson University are invited to come celebrate with the Golden Knights and experience the energy and excitement of Clarkson at our Spring Accepted Students Days.

Even if you have attended previous events or visited campus, we encourage you to attend this day focused on connecting you with our students, faculty and staff so that you can hear from the people living the Clarkson experience right now. Plus, you'll get to meet some of your future classmates!

This event is by invitation only so to register for this event, please log in using your Golden Knight Gateway page login information.

Transfer Accepted Students

Accepted transfer students are welcome to attend our Accepted Students Days. Please register using the main event registration forms. There will be a transfer-specific session in the afternoon.

Students accepted into The Clarkson School for Fall 2024 entry are invited to Accepted Students Days. During these events, you'll attend special programming geared towards TCS.

Schedule at a Glance

We pack a lot in to one day! Accepted Students Day is both a celebration of your acceptance and an opportunity for you to get to know us (and each other) better. We recommend you attending the entire day to get a full picture of life on our campus - from academic, co-op and research opportunities to extracurricular activities and athletics - but understand if you can only attend part of the day.

Some of the day is chosen by you, and some is pre-selected for you. You will receive a finalized schedule upon check-in. If there is something that is a "must-see" for you while you're here, just let one of our staff members or admissions ambassadors know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

Check in & Light Breakfast
8 - 10 a.m., Cheel Campus Center
Check in and grab a special breakfast snack. You may even enjoy a pop up performance or two!

Early Bird Campus Tours (optional, morning and afternoon)
leaving every 20 minutes from 8:10 - 9:10 a.m. (pre-registration required) from the Cheel Commons
Can't stay through the afternoon? Get your student life campus tour out of the way in the morning.

Financial Aid One-on-One Sessions
8 - 10 a.m.; 1:30 - 4 p.m. (pre-registration required), Cheel Commons (a.m.) and Holcroft House (p.m.)
If you have questions regarding your financial aid package, schedule time to chat with one of our admissions & financial aid staff members. Families can pre-register for a limited number of morning Early Bird sessions and afternoon sessions (20 minute time slots).

Beyond the Classroom: Life at Clarkson Panel (optional, morning and afternoon)
9 - 9:50 a.m., Cheel Campus Center
You'll learn a ton about your academic school, department and intended major at our academic interactive sessions, so these panels will focus on life as a Golden Knight outside the classroom! Bring your questions about Residence Life, Dining, Clubs & Organizations, the local community, wellness support, global experiences, our annual Career Fairs, and more!

Welcome and Event Kick-Off

We officially welcome you to Clarkson in the Student Center Forum, the heart of campus!

Academic Program Interactive Sessions 
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Various locations
Get to know your school and major by attending this interactive session featuring Q&As with current students, faculty, and staff, live demonstrations, facility tours and more!

Sustainability Showcase
12:30 - 2 p.m., Indoor Recreation Center
After your academic session, head over to our Sustainability Showcase, which will feature student clubs, campus research groups and more — all working toward the common goal of a sustainable future through our Institute for a Sustainable Environment.

Buffet Lunch
12:30 - 2 p.m., Indoor Recreation Center
At lunch, you'll have another opportunity to talk with your future classmates as you enjoy a catered buffet meal (vegan/vegetarian, gluten free, and lactose free options available).

Clarkson Showcase
12:30 - 2 p.m., Indoor Recreation Center
Several of our 200+ student clubs and organizations are on display to chat with you about getting involved on campus. Staff from student-oriented campus departments such as Athletics, Security & Safety and ROTC are also on hand to answer questions. The showcase takes place in the same location as lunch!

If you are an accepted transfer student, we invite you to join our admissions staff and fellow transfer students at this session focused on transferring to Clarkson!

The Clarkson School Session & Campus Tour
2 - 4 p.m., Price Hall Student Lounge
Students accepted into our early college program, The Clarkson School (TCS), are invited to join staff and students from TCS for the afternoon. During this time, guests can have their questions answered, get to know our students, and explore Clarkson's campus from the lens of a TCS student.

Student Life Campus Tours
2 - 2:50 p.m.; 3 - 3:50 p.m., leaving from the Indoor Recreation Center (2 p.m.) & Cheel Barben Rooms (3 p.m.)
If you didn't make the Early Bird tour, no problem. Your schedule will have an afternoon tour scheduled that will highlight student life related stops, such as a residence hall room, the fitness center, the Student Center, library and more.

Downtown Health Sciences Session
3:15 - 4 p.m., Clarkson Hall, 59 Main Street, Downtown Potsdam
Students interested in our direct entry programs in Physical Therapy (PT), Physician Assistant Studies (PA), or Occupational Therapy (OT) can join faculty, staff and students from these programs at our downtown campus for an overview of the programs and tour of our state-of-the-art health sciences facilities.

GE Leadership Day

Clarkson University partners with General Electric every spring to host GE Leadership Day for all accepted students. During this event, participants:

  • learn about leadership from successful GE staff who graduated from Clarkson.
  • make new friends and network with alumnae, staff and current students.
  • enjoy lunch, dinner and team-building activities on campus.
  • spend an overnight on campus with a current student host.** 
  • also attend Accepted Students Day the following day. 

The date for 2025 GE Leadership Day is TBA. Please note that registration is required for Accepted Students Day if attending GE Leadership Day. Space is limited. 

**The overnight portion of this experience is now full. New registrants will be able to attend the daytime portions only.

Getting to and Around Campus

All of our undergraduate programs are housed at our main campus in Potsdam, New York, just outside the six million acre Adirondack Park and a short drive from two of Canada's most notable cities - Ottawa and Montreal. Whether you're coming by car, plane, or bus, here are directions to our campus.
