I was born and raised in central New York state. I enjoy bicycling, photography, and hiking in the scenic Adirondack mountains.

Research Interests
Interests and Activities:
Coordination of first year chemistry courses at Clarkson, including development of instructional laboratory materials, and supervision of graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants. Implementation of STEM education opportunities through partnerships between Clarkson and North Country schools. Promotion of awareness and understanding of chemistry for schools and communities in the form of a chemistry show (Chemical Miracles, Magic, and Mayhem - AKA Dr. Jim's Chemistry Show).
