Teaching Interests

Dr. Towler was a clinical instructor and clinician prior to taking a full time teaching position in Clarkson University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. His primary teaching area is cardiopulmonary physical therapy and exercise science. He also has teaching roles in geriatrics, basic sciences, basic clinical skills, and orthopedics.

Research Interests

Dr. Towler’s research projects are primary focused on geriatrics and fall prevention/identification of those as risk of falling as related to their cardiovascular fitness. He also is interested the effects of increasing high fidelity simulation in the cardiopulmonary curriculum on student clinical confidence in acute care, and bone health.
