Biography
Heather Shattuck PT, DPT, MPT, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Physical Therapy. She graduated from D’Youville College in 1999 with her BS/MS in Physical Therapy and later went on to obtain her transitional DPT from Utica College in 2016.
Dr. Shattuck began her career in Texas working out patient orthopedics, but soon returned to the North Country where she began her career specializing in pediatric physical therapy.
Dr. Shattuck became an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) Pediatric Clinical Specialist in 2013 and continued her specialty training receiving her Certification as a Specialist in Biomechanics from NESTA in 2024. Dr. Shattuck is a coach for children with special needs and avid hiker. She is passionate about promoting physical activity, health, and wellness in the pediatric population.
Dr. Shattuck is an active member in the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA), is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Section for Pediatrics. She serves on the planning committee for the Pediatric Section of the APTA and is a member of the Clarkson University Faculty Senate.

Teaching Interests
Mrs. Shattuck was adjunct faculty prior to taking a part time teaching position in Clarkson University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Her primary teaching area is pediatric physical therapy and she works to integrate pediatric knowledge throughout the curriculum. Teaching roles include foundational sciences, neuromuscular physical therapy, and multiple systems management.
