Clarkson University Student Accepted to Santa Barbara International Film Festival
Clarkson University student Benjamin Choi ‘25, a sophomore double major student in Communication, Media & Design and Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has been accepted to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) to be held Feb. 8 to 18.
The film festival program gathers undergraduate students from all around the U.S. to take part in a packed curriculum that turns the festival into an interactive classroom led by industry experts and insiders.
"I'm honored and excited to attend the SBIFF film studies program," Choi said. "This is a great opportunity."
All accepted students from outside Santa Barbara County receive free priority festival access, overnight accommodations during their stay, in-town transportation, and a $500 travel stipend.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is a non-profit arts and educational organization whose mission is to engage, enrich, and inspire people through the power of film. Celebrating the art of cinema and providing impactful educational experiences for local, national, and global communities. The annual Film Festival is 11 days featuring over 200 films, celebrity tributes, industry panels, filmmaker Q&As and seminars, educational programs for all ages, and free community events with 100,000 attendees.
