Learning Opportunities
We believe each employee makes an important contribution to the Clarkson community with skills and expertise that are unique and valuable to the University. We provide learning opportunities through a variety of methods including classroom settings and online learning and also external and internal platforms. We are dedicated to providing support to individuals and departments, through different learning opportunities, in terms of leadership training, professional development courses, compliance training and other need based learning to advance their skills, knowledge and competencies.
Learning at Clarkson is a dynamic process and may be achieved not only through participation in formal coursework but also through professional experience, challenging assignments, collaboration, mentoring, participation in activities of professional organizations, and independent study and research. Innovation is encouraged through interventions such as Clarkson IGNITE and the President’s Challenge Program. We also offer educational assistance programs for our staff.

Employees will be automatically enrolled during the semester for the online self-paced required training courses through our learning portal. To make the training as convenient and efficient as possible, it can be completed on most smartphones, tablets and computers.
