Steven Weimer Appointed Associate Professor of Honors at Clarkson University
Steven Weimer has been appointed associate professor of honors on the teaching track at Clarkson University.
He received his Ph.D. and masters of arts degrees in applied philosophy from Bowling Green State University, and his bachelor of science degree in philosophy from Frostburg State University.
Weimer specializes in ethics, applied ethics, and social & political philosophy. In addition to his areas of expertise, he has taught courses on logic & critical thinking, philosophy of law, and philosophy of science.
He has been published in several academic journals including; Sport, Ethics, and Philosophy, Journal of Global Ethics, Journal of the Philosophy of Sport, and Australasian Journal of Philosophy. He has also presented at several conferences including the Midsouth Philosophy Conference, the Central States Philosophical Association, and the International Social Philosophy Conference.
Weimer has served in various capacities at his previous universities, including as a faculty senator, a member of the recruitment and retention committee, and as a member of the academic integrity committee.
Prior to coming to Clarkson, he previously served as an assistant professor of philosophy at Arkansas State Online, and before that, he was an associate professor and assistant professor at Arkansas State University.
