Biography
Bhavana Bandaru serves as the Assistant Director of Professional and Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs at Clarkson University, supporting the MS in Applied Data Science and MSEE Power Engineering cohort programs. She works closely with students, faculty, University offices, alumni, and external partners to strengthen the graduate student experience from enrollment through graduation.
Her work focuses on academic advising, instructional support, student mentoring, and applied learning. She helps students understand program requirements, plan their coursework, navigate academic challenges, and successfully progress toward degree completion.
Bhavana supervises and co-supervises applied capstone projects, guiding students as they define project scope, establish milestones, document their work, and prepare final deliverables and presentations. She collaborates with faculty advisors and external partners to connect graduate education with practical, industry-relevant projects.
She also supports curriculum delivery, monitors student progress, supervises graduate assistants, and contributes to program assessment and continuous improvement. With a background in applied data science and information technology, Bhavana has experience with Python, SQL, data warehousing, machine learning, business intelligence, and data visualization.
Bhavana earned her Master of Science in Applied Data Science from Clarkson University, where she was recognized as a Distinguished Scholar, received a full merit scholarship, and served as a student ambassador.
