The School of Engineering offers a minor in Engineering Science for students who satisfy a minimum of 20 credit hours. However, the Engineering Science major is not open to School of Engineering majors or Engineering & Management majors
Engineering Science is the parts of science concerned with the physical and mathematical basis of engineering and machine technology.
All courses are 3 credits unless noted.
Engineering Science Minor Core Requirements
Students are required to complete the following courses:
Engineering Science
- ES220 Statics
- ES250 Electrical Science
- ES260 Materials Science and Engineering I
- ES100 Introduction to Engineering Use of the Computer
- or equivalent Scientific Programming course
Engineering Science Minor Core Electives
Engineering Electives
Students must take three Engineering Electives (minimum 9 credits — any ES, ME, AE, CE, CH, EE courses for which the candidate has the prerequisites, except ES238, ES300, EE268, BR200)
