Clarkson University provides holistic and inclusive academic advising assistance to all students. Every student is provided with a major-specific academic advisor, and some students have additional advising based on their career aspirations, such as pre-law and pre-health advising.

You are able to locate your academic advisor’s name on the “Student Center” tab in myCU. Click on the “details” link to find out additional information about the advisors, such as their role and contact information.
Every undergraduate student at CU is assigned an academic advisor and they are a great resource for students. Students are required to meet with their academic advisor a minimum of one time per semester and are strongly encouraged to meet with their academic advisor on a regular basis. Meetings with academic advisors are a great time to ask questions about plans of study and co-curricular opportunities, such as study abroad and undergraduate research.
University Studies for Undecided Students
If you have many interests and a wide variety of abilities, it can be hard to choose a major. Our University Studies program gives you the freedom to explore your options of study while fulfilling requirements toward a bachelor's degree. The University Studies option is designed so that you can start your first year of college at Clarkson without committing to a major. During that first year, you will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the over 30 programs of study.
